Spyderco Sharmaker diamond

Is going from the diamond rods to the medium rods too much? I have gone from a well worn DMT coarse to the fine rods with no problems.Just wondering.

Nope. It's a good progression.

And (as far as I know and I am happy to be proven wrong) there aren't any rods in between.

That's what I do when I use the diamond rods. Coarse straight to Spyderco grey (medium). There aren't any other Spyderco rods in between them. Some of the after market SM rods may actually fit in between the diamond and medium Spyderco rods, but I don't know.

Anyway, I don't seem to have any problems following your progression, I just don't stop with the grey rods as my final edge.
