I have the Sharpmaker 204 and love it.
I've been thinking about sharpening serrated knives.
According to the accompanying book and video, use step 3 (white rods, corners only).
Sharpen the same way as for non-serrated knives.
Aren't one supposed to sharpen only the indentations (serrations)? This procedure sharpens the entire part of the blade...

Hi Thomas. Have you had a chance to watch the video? It goes into serrations in detail.

Both the video and the instruction manual clearly points out to sharpen the edge just as a plain edge.
I'm just wondering if that's a good way to do it.

By the way, the video and instruction manual is very good.
I can recommend the sharpmaker to anyone that wants consistent results. I messed up a lot of my knives on freehand sharpening before I go the Sharpmaker. I also tried the Gatco device, which clamps the knife. That does not work with all knives.
The sharpmaker is the best I've tried.
