Bought the 307F slip stone a few weeks back (been using the pro-files up until then for years) and let me tell you, its a great sharpening tool :D

Been eying this thing for a long time now and it measures up pretty nicely, its big and heavy, so won't slide around when put on top of the suede bag, and the angle makes it really easy to sharpen the knife. You can even use it in hand as a rod on the edge, using one of the end surfaces.

My Tenacious immediately took a shaving sharp edge, much faster than on the profiles (probably the larger surface area?)

I never owned a sharp maker, so can't comment on how it stacks up, but for freehanding, this thing is awesome. I just wish they made a medium grit version as well.

One last thing, this is not mentioned on the Spyderco website, but the curved ends fit the spyderco serrations perfectly, I was very happy to learn this.

So there you have it, awesome stone, get it
