Spyderco spotted in new James Cameron produced film trailer

Great, a movie that combines my fears of heights, enclosed spaces, and drowning all in one.

Is it just me, or is the hollow grind too short (from edge towards blade spine, I mean)? If I'm right, it's a fake! I don't own a Delica so could be wrong.

edit: SS Delica pic for comparison:

Notice how the hollow grind part is more than twice the height of the serrations, but in the screen cap, it looks like it's less than twice the height of the serrations.

It looks that way because the entire edge bevel and the serration points have been ground off for safety, pretty standard for knives in movies.

^Grinding off the bottom would make the serrations smaller but the area between the top of the serrations and end of the hollow grind would remain the same. So, that would make the serrations even smaller compared to the area between the top of them and where the hollow grind ends, yet the opposite is the case in the picture.

That stock photo also has a noticeably higher grind than my SS Delica 4. Mine is fairly early in the D4 production life, so they may have gotten tired of my griping about it and raised the grind height later.

It also looks like the scallops were re-ground after the edge was removed, probably to keep sharp-eyed viewers from noticing the difference between the one the actress opened and the one she actually uses to cut the rope. Continuity is everything.

Spyderco implements a lot of rolling changes in production models, so I wouldn't be surprised if some had higher grinds than others

Does anyone else get that great feeling when you watching a movie and you can call out the exact knife moddle when it comes on screen? its always there less then a second and a half yet you still know it.
