Hello Everyone, How's it going? I have some questions for those who own the SpydeRench. How does it compare to other multitools such as Leatherman and Gerber...etc? Is it well constructed? I've been looking at multi-tools lately and just can't decide. Any info will help. Thanks!

Hey Klick! Welcome. I've been using a Spyderench for over a year (maybe longer), and it's a very well designed tool. There are areas it really shines in, such as being able to simultaneously use the spanner wrench and screwdriver. The pliers are great in certain cases, but not where clearance around the nut are really tight (for that, the pointy needle-nose pliers of Leatherman seem better suited).
Another tool found on my Leatherman which I don't have on the 'Rench would be wire cutters, and they have only been needed once (so far).

Hi Hawkbill! Thanks! I'm basically getting a multi-tool for when I go snowboarding and need to adjust my bindings while I'm on the mountain. So I don't believe I'll need wire cutters or needle nose pliers. I guess the SpyderRench will be my next purchase, along with a Para-mili,Blk bladed Mili,Persian,Blk Dodo,Yojimbo,Gunting, blk Salsa.........:D Why oh why am I so addicted to Spydercos:confused:
Anyways, Thanks for the info Hawkbill. Take care!

Yep, good tools, each of them. I didn't see a Harpy on the list, but you may need to try these others before you're ready for one.

I had one, but a lot of what I use a multi-tool for need needlenose pliers and wire cutters. I've settled on the SOG Powerlock and it suits me perfect.

That being said, for your purposes, the Spyderench is much better suited than any others that I know of.
