I am looking for a good way to keep my knives organized. I have about 30 knives I want to keep organized. I have been looking at the large spyderpac and was wondering if people had had good experiences with these product? If not, what did you use. One of the important things is to have my knives easily accesible. I think ideally I would like a small chest of shallow drawers but don't know where to find one that would work. I need help my spdydies are all over the place

It is a good option, the ones I have are built well and seem durable. If you want other suggestions, head over to the gadgets and gear section. Numerous threads on storage, display, cases, boxes, etc.

I have had the small Spyderpac for a couple of years now and love it. It hangs (open) on my wall where I keep my keys and each day I just select whatever knife suits my fancy. The small size (18 knives) is a better size for this imo and hangs perfectly.

Where do you store your other knives?

Well, thats the other reason I got the small. When it gets full its a good reminder that i am getting a bit carried away and its time to give away or sell some knives. :D If I was a collector though I would probably by a large spyderpac to store my least carried knives in and then get a small one to hang on the wall like I do now. I just love being able to look at all my knives at once like that and grab whats best for the day or the job at hand.

Good philosophy. I'm getting to a point where I should probably start culling the herd myself. I have many great knives that I don't carry nearly enough.

I keep my knives in a lined drawer in the top of my dresser. The liner is what I use in my kitchen drawers, nothing special probably got a a dollar store. I've considered getting a spyderpac, just never pulled the trigger.

i have 2 large spyderpacs and absolutly love them , i have had one for about a year, and i havent had any issues with it at all. totally worth the investment

I have 5 small Spyderpacs, they are well made. I also have a 6 drawer metal stand that I purchased from IKEA, to keep my daily user's and sharpening stones etc. etc

Can anyone tell me how wide the Large Spyderpac (30) is once hung on the wall? I tried finding this info online but can't seem to find it. I've got a spot in my closet I'm hoping it will fit but just need to know how wide it is before ordering it.

Thanks!

Not counting the top flap which has nothing to do with hanging the case the large from the center hanging ring to the bottom is 29" long and 24" wide.
The small is the same length but 15" wide.

AWESOME!!! I appreciate you providing that information. It should fit perfectly.

Again, thanks for the help!

Spyderpacs are handy because you can hang them in a closet and readily see what each knife is without taking them out of their pockets due to the transparent front plastic. Also, it closes up neatly for carrying your knives. They're pretty durable too made of heavy-denier polyester Cordura.
