I'm interested in what people think of this new offering from Spyderco. First off, I am usually very open minded about most knives and to some extent think that they all have their merits. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I just can't help thinking that to me this a very unappealling knife visually. I really do like the fact that it's constructed of S30V and G-10. No doubt it is unique, but it appears that the creative influences in play were just too far apart to create a coherent final result. It's almost like it's too much Kershaw and too much Spyderco and not enough negotiation occurred in the design.

I'd like to hear from others that have actually been able to inspect the knife, what their experiences have been.

I have not been able to handle the knife in question, but have seen pictures of it, I too believe beauty is in the eye.... It seems like a good idea for companies to collaborate, but this one could have gone back to the drawing board. It seems to made from quality material, but the visual aspect is missing in my opinion. How it perfoms, well I guess, that remains to be seen.

I like the looks of it, except for the billboard sized writing on the blade.

If they got rid of the big ass "Spyderco" on the blade it would be cooler.

I have handled one and its a great knife... Lose the Spyker writing on the blade and it would be a much nicer knife IMHO.

Very much nicer, in my opinion. Why do they do that?
I just hate a billboard on a blade.

So we can buff it off when we put a nice satin finish on the blade while pimping it.... :D

If you guys want to talk about billboards.......
Have any of you checked out the new "topo" line of knives from SOG, man they look way out there; the only thing that could make them worse is that awful rainbow coating junk.
