I picked up a copy of The Spyderco Story.
I had originally thought the price was a little (well, to be honest A LOT) on the high side.
I spent two hours reading the book!
One of the many aspects that I particularly liked was each model was described in detail and Sal's thoughts on his designs were eloquently presented.
The book presented the Spyderco collaborations and how they came about. It presented each knifemaker's ideas on what they wanted their knife to look like and how they wanted them to perform.
There is a chapter on Sal's and Spyderco's "corporate" philosophie/s.
Several things come across in the Spyderco Story. One is obvious to the fans of Spyderco products and to forum members - the integrity of Sal Glesser. Not "just" in words as is so commonplace today. And NOT just to making a bucket of money. But, in his commitment to the products, the satisfaction of the consumer, AND to Spyderco employees.
The other obvious point is his hard work and ingenuity in advancing the knife industry and benefiting it's end users.
READ THIS BOOK!!
Thanks Mr. Glesser

I've had more paper cuts than cuts from knives, but the knives are QUICKLY gaining!
