I have been looking around and found interest in the Street beat and the Warroir. The street beat to me "might" be still carryable hide it behind a jacket, where the warrior will be a straight up home defense tool & toy. I want to hear what are the feeling about these two knifes. I currently carry a millie as a EDC. Discuss......................

....the Warrior is a pretty specific purpose driven design. It could be just what your looking for if you have the proper MBC training.

The Street Beat might just be the best small, all-round, production, fixed blade being made today. It's a gem that can do lots of things very well. I'd still have one if I weren't on such a tight budget and needed to sell.

- regards

I wear my Street Beat at work (Blockbuster) on shipping days, on holidays, and when it snows. If I don't tuck in my shirt it stays hidden really well. I adore that little knife, and the only bad thing about it is that I don't have two...yet. I've read some reports of sheath-rattle, but mine doesn't. The G-clip is pretty cool too, but it can be a bit annoying to adjust.

The Street Beat is an absolutely fantastic knife. It's usable in a variety of grips with a strong focus being applied to the Modified Filipino grip. I carry mine whenever I can't legally carry my Glock.

The Street Beat is a great little knife; I like to wear mine when it rains (saves my folders from the moisture). Even here in "p.c." Los Angeles, Ive never gotten a second glance when carrying it.

Wow thanks you for the info, the street beat for me might be my first "fix blade" so don't mine my questions. I too live in Los Anglese, currently carrying a millie as a edc so is carrying a street beat legal? and how comfortabile is it carrying a fix blade knife???

double blast on that Street Beat recommendation.
it really is the far more approprite general-purpose multi-tasking blade form of the two.

I have not read the law pertaining to fixed blades in some time, but a knife the size of the Street Beat is perfectly legal, assuming that you carry it in plain sight; otherwise, it is considered concealed. It might help to consider where you will be carring it. I wear mine on my right side, just behind my cell phone, and it rides there comfortably.

Fixed blades of any length are illegal to carry in Los Angeles unless you have a legitimate work or sporting purpose...

they are illegal if they are over 3" and concealed. if it is open it is legal and under 3"

Hmm. I have a forum LAPD forum member give me the above info. Maybe I am mistaken....

<additional edit> I did some surfing around and under 3" in plain sight seems ok. I stand corrected :)

I just read the law,California Penal Code 12020, and it only mentions "dirk or dagger" i.e. double edge knives, as being illegal to carry, in CA. That stuff about "legitmate reason" sounds like the stupid malarky that they subject the English citizenry to. I mean English "subjects".

Hi, do you guys with the street beat find the handle slippery? If so, what do you think would be a good remedy? seems the micarta handle cannot be stippled the way i did with my STI pistol. street beat carried for sd by the way. Thanks.

Any fixed blade is illegal to carry concealed in CA. In LA anything over 3" cannot be open carried.

Smooth, yes; but slippery? Not with that deep finger choil; your hand really connects with the knife.

Yes, the finger choil is a very good feature and my hand wraps around the handle well, just wanted some extra insurance (grip). For now i've tried sticking skateboard tape on one side of the handle. :)
