Over at bladehq it says the country of origin is china for the Spyderco Stretch Blue Nishijin Glass.. Isn't the country of origin supposed to be Japan?

Yes, the blue Nishijin GF Stretch is made in Japan, just like all the other versions of the Stretch. You might want to email BladeHQ and let them know there's an error in that listing. Beyond that, it's just one more proof that you can't believe everything you read.
