Spyderco Stretch ZDP-189

I do prefer the solid because If I make a mistake in sharpening the blade will still be largely the same material.

I've been thinking about picking one of these up myself.

Since the problem with the ZDP-189 Mules I've been wondering about solid ZDP.
Can't really remember, but think the Rc was to high on the Mule.

Does anyone know if the ZDP on the Stretch is the same as the ZDP on the Mules?

Probably not from the same batch, but even if it was, look at it this way:

Between the ZDP-189 Delca IV's, Endura IV's, CF Stretch II's, FRN Stretch II's, black Almite Lum Chinese Folders, and Sprint Run CF Walkers there have been a grand total of ZERO reports of cracked blades on this or the Spyderco factory forum. All those models have solid ZDP-189 blades and two of them are thinner than the Mule was. Whatever the problem with the ZDP-189 Mule it seems to have been confined to it, and it alone.
