Has anyone seen this new model? If so, what kind of lock does it use? All that I have been able to find is that the handle is Kraton, the blade is VG-10, and the blade length is 3.5" long. :confused:

The Stretch is shipping now. 3.5" full flat ground VG-10, Stainless scale, Kraton inserts on both sides. 4 way 3 screw stainless clip. Finger choil. Thin, strong, ergonomic, plain edge or combination edge.

20 years of refinement. (C03 - 1984, C03XP, C-13, C-13 FRN).

OK so I've done a search on the Spyderco site for Stretch and don't find anything. How do I get more info about this knife (like where to buy it). :confused:

Me too frogfish. What dealers have it and whats the price?

So, in good mathematical spirit, is it safe to assume that the SKU will be C93?

;)

C03 > C13 > C33 > C93

I just saw a Collectors Club Stretch. It looks like a winner. It is a much thinner knife than many of the older SS Spydercos. Being thinner, it is also lighter than one might expect for a SS knife. The kraton inserts are nicely recessed and provided grip without bulk. The blade is flat ground and looks like a real slicer. The knife is pretty compact. My guess is that the overall length is about 8".

Any chance of G-10 or Micarta inserts being used down the road? I imagine that would look rather sharp.. ;)

Actually, Ted, shouldn't it be C63, since 0 * 3 isn't 1.

C03 + 10 -> C13 + 20 -> C33 + 30 -> C63

:)

That is mathematically correct, but C63 is already taken by the Chinook

Shootist, I think you might like the Stretch because the blade looks like a flat ground version of the old Wegner.

:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Oh yeah!!!!! Another must have Spyderco.

GOT ONE THIS MORNING!!!

It has outstanding looks and feel. The Kraton inserts give superb grip and the thinness of the knife will make it an easy carry. The blade shape (ala Wegner) and the flat grind should make it a dynamite cutter. It's drilled and tapped for right or left handed, tip up or down. Should make all of us happy.

I think Sal and Co. have hit another home run with this one!
