I'll just toss this out there... As the next nod to steel freaks across the globe, perhaps Spyderco could put out a carbon steel model. It's pretty clear why stainless has been the steel of choice for everyday users, but this would be a sprint run of an existing model in, say, 1095, or even one of the CPM carbon steels to stay high-tech.

For fun and marketing purposes, the handle could be made of matte carbon fiber. This would accomplish a few things. It would make it a higher-price-point item that everyday users probably wouldn't buy ("hey, my knife rusted..."). It would tie the whole "carbon" idea into the handle. And if it's matte CF, it would make the knife a tough user--a good match for carbon steel.

Possible models for a sprint run? Of course there's the Calypso Jr. Or the Lum Chinese Folder. Other interesting possibilities include the Centofante4 (carbon-steel wharnie!) or... wait for it... the Paramillie. Matte CF Paramillie with carbon steel blade! Mmm... SuperCarbon...

That's what I have been saying: A CF Milli with compression lock and M4 blade :).

Make it ambidextrous and tip up, and that just might be my ideal folder. I don't know if I'd really need the M4 steel, but they're really all the same to me.

The compression lock is ambidextrous and tip up carry may be achieved simply by drilling an extra set of holes in the liners, so I guess it's feasible.
Mounting a comp lock to the Military is the difficult task.

You realize that only the carbonfiber handles will make this truely a Supercarbon knife....right? :D :p
