Spyderco superleaf?

Nothing. You should send it to me immediately, I'll even pay postage. ;)

More seriously, it looks like most asking prices are $250-300 on auction sites. Despite it being one of my favorites, I think that's a bit steep, but if it's the standard I wouldn't ask less than that if I were selling.

Never knew about that knife, really cool. Almost like a mix between the Shaman and PM2.
And like Insipid Moniker Insipid Moniker stated, ~300 on Auction sites seems to be the rate, there is one going on that you could keep an eye on, see where it ends. Just because they are listed for X amount of dollars doesn't mean they sell for it.

It's a beast of a folder. Blade stock was actually a touch thicker than the Shaman. I'd love to see it come back as a sprint, or even an XL version with a 4" blade.

The superleaf is a sweat looking knife but they do call a pretty penny. I think between that and the junior, probably my most wanted disco'ed spydercos currently.

This thread needs a picture.

Oh heck yes, I'd be all over that. I like my Manix XL a lot but I like the compression lock better than the BBL. An XL (or even something inbetween 3.4 and 4 ") Superleaf with S30V or something of that nature, I'd get that.

I wanted a Superleaf for a long time and kept watching both the Exchange and that big auction site. The prices on the latter were stupidly high and I rarely saw one here. I finally got lucky and picked up one LNIB here for not a lot more than original retail.

The Superleaf is a great knife that just locks into my hand. The forward finger choil affords great blade control when needed and the blade geometry allows for varied cutting tasks rearward as well as at the generous belly and tip. I'm a big fan of both the wire clip and compression lock.

On the down side, the knife is a bit of a pocket hog, but I'll wear appropriate pants when carrying. I'm not the biggest fan of VG10, but it does take a wicked keen edge. It has a tendency to roll, but is easily correctable.

I'm really pleased to have mine, it's one of my favorite Spydies, and fits nicely in with my other work users.

had one. sold it. miss it.

it is very ergonomic. it is a stout folder. one of the first compression locks. it is a wide folder as mentioned but still very carryable.
I have fairly large hands. handle was just a wee bit cramped for me. love full choils on knives and this one had the best . I hope they do another run someday but would hate to see any "improvements" on the design as I think it was already pretty darn near perfect. a better steel would be nice for sure. 250-300 for VG10? nah . even at the retail price when they were in production was a bit high for the steel used. fit and finish were pretty good also

Wow I keep getting more and more amazed on the variety of knives that Spyderco has offered in the past. When was this knife in production? Looks like it went for $140 new when they were available

Very interesting knife they need to bring it back in a sprint run but what steel would be good? When I looked at sold listings it had sold for as low as $160 and as high as $270 on a particular auction service site.

i bought mine in 2014 for about 180 dollars, seemed high to me considering it has vg 10 steel, cool knife very comfortable. Has a thick blade stock but isn't very heavy.

I was able to snag one at a fair price after they were discontinued. It's one of my favorites.

Handle shape looks reminiscent of the Caribbean series, save the choil. Loving the look of those, the leaf shape speaks to me more than a straight spear point.

Its funny there is so much positive interest in this design. when they were production I remember there was a lot of negative opinions about it and they were always in stock and easy to find . to me its a classic case of form and function blending extremely well together which is a rarity

If I could find one at the 100-125 price I would snatch it up without hesitation
