As you may, or may not know, one of our paid sponsoring dealers, The Knife Connection, makes some really nice G10 scales in a number of colors and shades, for the ESEE, Becker, and Ka-Bar knives. I spoke with a custom maker who said he may be interested in making scales for the Swick, but said he wasn't sure if G10 was the way to go, and said that if he did decide to manufacture them, he needed a minimum order of 100, and at a very non-competitive price. Well, I was not too impressed with his thought process, and thought of Dale at T-K-C, who's scales I own for my ESEE's and Becker's, and thought why not approach him with this idea of scales for the Swick. While I don't know if he's game, but what I am more interested in is how many here would want a G10 scale set offered in a variety of colors for their Swick 3, and if the numbers are sufficient, perhaps T-K-C would have them made up?:)

If you haven't seen or know of his scale offerings, here's a link of his product...http://www.the-knife-connection.com/esee-knives--candiru-custom-handles.html

TKC scales are great! But do you need a mass produced offering for the Swick? Im sure there are scale makers on the forum who would do a set for you.

I haven't heard from any of them to date, and I have PM'd/e-mailed several on several forums. Having a "mass produced" offering/option insures a relative ready supply of scales as each Swick is sold and is in the possession of an owner, who in all likelihood may be interested in a set of scales, as opposed to a paracord wrap. Custom from a individual is nice, if you don't mind a wait time, and probably a much higher cost than what is really necessary, over a ready supply of scale options from a reputable dealer who already has established a track record when it comes to after market scales.

With only 500 of the Swick 3 made you are going to have to sell through all of them and convince 1 owner in 5 to buy a set of these scales just to hit the minimum order. Good luck with that.

I haven't received any emails from you. I actually have a few people that have their Swicks on their way to me now for scales and sheaths

That is a probability, since I did say several, not everyone; that said, please post up some pictures of your G10 scales for the Swick3...I am very interested in seeing what you have made.

Got the Swick a few minutes ago, sent off a check to Colorado for my sheath, and just waiting for those scale makers who say they make Swick scales to post up their work so that I can spend more money; anyone?
