  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Spyderco swick

Super useful, phenomenal design. Can replace just about any fixed blade or folder for everyday use.

Small skeletonized neck knife made from S30V steel, full flat grind, can be cord wrapped or have scales attached, what isn't to like?

I'll answer this with pics primarily. What I will say that will take words though is that I LOVE this knife for cutting 1/2" and 5/8" rope into rope slings because I can hold it in a reverse grip and have full dexterity in both hands to meter out the rope before I cut it. I have the Swick3 Hawkbill and it's acid and stonewashed with custom scales. It's a very cool and useful design.

wow that is an amazing looking knife..

Acid and stonewashing, plus the sheath and handle scales were made for me by Eric (ShepardCC in the custom work section of the classifieds). He did a backspacer and display scale for my Schempp Tuff at the same time.

The Swick works so well for just about any daily task that there is hardly anything not to like about it. When I'm out and about around my 45 acres I always carry one around my neck.

I haven't tried one yet but I have a swick 4 on the way. I'm thinking it could make a good neck knife for fishing. The security of the grip should be a good design feature out on the water where knives can sometimes find their way to the bottom of the ocean.

I personally love the swicks. I love having the blade still in my hand and being able to use all my fingers to still with with things without having to constantly pick up and put down the knife over and over again.

I just picked up a Swick 4. It's surprisingly comfortable in the hand as is. I like the thin profile for neck carry. Sheath retention is confidence inspiring.

It's another quality product out of Golden!

Eric.. Those ribcage scales are KOOL!! E-mail me!! Thanks.. John
