I'm sure I'm not the only one who's excited to get one of the new Swick3's.

I thought I'd make a devoted thread for pics and any information pertaining to scales or sheaths.

I know Sal mentioned SheathPro making some sheaths, but is anyone else on here planning on making them?
I want to weigh all my options before I have a local guy custom make me one.

Also, anyone plan on making G10 or Micarta scales? I know several board members do custom work, but I was hoping someone would do a run for a less than custom price.

So, if you have any information or pics post them in here!

I'll be making sheaths. Just waiting on the swick to get here.

Will you be able to make one that is suited for horizontal carry (left side) with a removable clip for neck carry? Perhaps any sort of IWB setups?

I just took a look at your site and you do some great looking work. I am very interested.

I want exactly this myself. I want a kydex sheath for mine, and I want to be able carry it three ways, listed in order of precedence, first on my left waist horizontally, second as a neck knife, and third attached to a backpack strap.

I should be able to handle all those requests no problem.
Horizontal attachment I think about should be thin enough to still neck carry without taking it off. Have two ideas on horizontal carry. IWB I have few ideas on this also.
Strap it to a pack is easy. Paracord that boy on there. But I'm sure I can come up with an attachment idea if you don't want to paracord it down.

Scales? Pretty please? Anybody? Thin G-10 would be perfect. I may just try a paracord wrap, too.

Samesies. I would really love to get a nice pair. I mean, I guess I could try making them, but I don't have a vice and other stuff that would make the task much easier.

Subscribed. I already have a wharny swick, so I didn't buy the 3, but will definitely grab the leaf swick.

Glockcrazz, I took a look at your site and your sheaths are really nice! Let me know when you're ready to sell the Swick3 sheaths.

Hey Sal, you should try to convince SheathPro to get an actual functioning website, or even a store on E-bay.

Hi Jibbles,

Christina is working on one. Should be up soon. Chris makes all of Spyderco's boltaron sheaths (Boltaron is a high line Kydex). SheathPro is in Golden and we work very closely with them. We trained her at Spyderco.

I thought I'd post my own work here just to show off a tiny bit. I will say that I don't consider myself good enough yet to put out a shingle, so please don't think I'm ready to take on work. I will always share what little I know though. Anyway, being a Lime Green fan here's one of my Swicks:

Hiredgun, love it!! Nice job! Makes me wish I bought this swick for the sake of the scale holes.

Hiredgun
Those scales look great.
Good job!!!!
Do you plan on offering a pair that could attached with screws?

GLOCKCRAZZ,

Thanks for the compliment. At least for now, I'm only making scales for myself. My skill level or maybe patience is not quite where it should be for me to feel comfortable doing work for the good members of this forum. But funny you should mention removable scales, because I did make some 2 weeks ago for my Super Blue Mule with the same G-10 and patterned them after the Halpern Titanium Option 5 scales...
