Spyderco switchblade?

I thought I heard something about a Spyderco switchblade.

Is there anything to this, or is it just a rumor?

I hope so! Benchmade has one coming out, but a Spydie (otf) would be awesome! Yeah, I'm biased.

I believe a "concept model", based on a Butch Valotten design, was produced. The problem, from what I understand, is Colorado law regarding the possession, manufacture, and distribution of automatic knives.

Yep. I did some looking around.

Apparently, you have to push the button and rotate the scale to get it to snap open.
