Spyderco Techno mod

I would like to replace the blue backspacer on the Techno with standoffs. Anyone have any clue what sizes I need and where I can get them?

not sure on the size, usa knife maker has different sizes. Do you have calipers to measure the distance between the handle slabs? A ruler might be good enough. You also need to know what size screws will be going through the standoffs and whether they need to threaded or not. If you check out that site, there will be many options with descriptions that should help you choose which ones. Did not like the Techno, but if I had one, I would do the exact same thing, that blue bumpy thing is ugly.

The distance between the slabs is 3/16". The screws are two different sizes. I need the non threaded type of standoff but i'm not sure how to measure to see what ones I need.
It seems USA Knifemaker only has one size of non threaded standoff.

What size is the torx on the screws in question? Odds are if it is T6 it is a #2-56, and if it is T8 it is probably #4-40. #2-56 has a diameter across threads of .086" #4-40 has a diameter across threads of .112" Not positive of thread size, but that is my guess.

Also, what I do sometimes is steal parts from other knives I do not like or use. Just a thought, I stole these from a Gerber I never used.
