I'm thinking about getting a Spyderco Temperance 2. I've handled one and it feels real good. I'd probably install a Tek-Lok on the sheath. I think it would fit a wider range of belts. Who out there has used one recently? It looks like a great woods bumming knife and I like the high flat grind and the natural micarta handle.

I have EDCed (I am lucky enough to have a job I can EDC a fixed) a Temperance 2 for about two years. I love it. I would not call it a hard use knife and would not thump on it but it is certainly good for what it is intended. Cutting. I thought I was going to put a Tek-Lok on too, but the G-clip it came with I have been very happy to keep. It carries a bit closer to the body which I like. I don't have have an issue with it migrating on the belt. When I first got mine it came out of box with a fantastic edge and my standards are high. I would defiantly recommend it and hope you like yours as much a I do mine. I get a lot of complements on it too.

Thanks for the info. I don't plain on doing any chopping with it. It seems like a very handy knife to have on you.

I only have the Temperance, not a hard use knife, but a great all around knife, I've used mine mostly in the kitchen.

I don't have the Temperance, but it do have the Forester and Rock Salt with G-clips and I also put a G-clip on my Kumo. In fact I ordered a few dozen G-clips from Spyderco and installed them on all my kydex sheathed knives regardless of maker. G-clips are incredibly handy and vastly superior to Tec-locks.
Replacing a G-clip with a Tec-lock is like replacing a mobile phone with a corded one.
