So hey guys, the description basically describes my problem fairly well but there's a bit more too it. So I got sand in the pivot and decided to take the knife apart to clean and reapply lube (I use Tuf-Glide), since then the problem of the blade becoming loose has been a constant problem. I don't know what would cause this, so if you have any ideas I'm all ears?

That would be a negative...

But probably a good idea, thanks.

Did you get lube onto the pivot screw?

Go wash it off, or use alcohol or brake cleaner, get the oil out of the pivot threads.

If you don't have thread locker, feel free to steal some of your wifes/girlfriends/moms clear nail polish and use it on the threads or use some plumbers tape on the threads.

Without degreased threads even threadlocker won't hold up, fair warning.

Grease/oil/lube is less of an issue if you use plumbers tape, actually it's pretty much a non issue and it's also instant since there's no drying time... there's also no cleaning time..

Why did I recommend the other fixes? You might not have plumbers tape.
