I know there is a price difference but disregarding that which one of these knives should I go with? This will be my first spyderco knife and I just need opinions on which one I should buy. Thanks

I would say the Delica. It is, in my view, the flagship of the Spyderco lineup. It's easier in the pocket than the Tenacious, has better steel, and so forth. If you looking for something to use and abuse on the the job site, then maybe the Tenacious. But otherwise, its Delica all the way. You are going to have this knife for years, so the $30 difference won't matter much in the long run. Good luck.

The delica is hands down one of my favorite EDC knives. It's very light, holds a decent edge and the grip's texturing locks your hand in place with out being itchy or rough. What do you plan on using it for?

Just a spyderco to add to my collection, normal cutting tasks for EDC

Get the Delica, you will be impressed. I have a tenacious and it's great too, just a lot larger.

Another vote for the delica. It's just the right size for EDC, IMO. The tenacious is great too, you'll want to get it as well, down the road.

I have a Delica and several of the Tenacious, I would pick the Tenacious.
There is a lot of difference between the 2 knives, so there might be some things you like about one vs. the other.
Tenacious is G10 with liners so it is much smoother than the Delica, and feels more expensive.
Tenacious is liner lock vs. back lock so easier to operate one-handed without involving blood.
Tenacious is larger than Delica.
Delica standard steel may be a little better than Tenacious.

I've owned both and I say the Delica. I owned a Tenacious and liked that it was smooth, lightweight, and fully flat ground. I didn't like that it was a liner lock so it went to a friend. Delicas carry and operate ambidextrously and are also available with fully flat ground blades, to say nothing of VG-10 steel being vastly better than 8Cr13MOV. The handles are also grippier and they're available in sheeple-friendly colors. I suppose the Tenacious could be rescaled but you'd pay more for replacement scales than the knife itself.

I've got nothing against the Tenacious, I own one and sold lots of them when it first came out (I owned a knife shop at the time). However, I think the main thing it has going for it is the price, and to be honest I think that there are better budget folders available nowadays which are cheaper than the Tenacious (Rat 1, Voyager, Utillitac II).

The Delica has better steel and it's very well designed. I've got five or six different variations and used to EDC one, it's a small knife but they managed to make it comfortable to use. It's plenty strong, too (especially the sabre ground models).

I like the Tenacious also but I'd go with the Delica. You see, even when/if you stop EDCing the Delica, it still serves as a perfect "desk knife" for opening letters and packages. I got Delicas all over my house lol and still have it on rotation BTW. My Tenacious is well used and well loved and after all these years, still ready for more work. Problem is, I got too many knives ahead of it now that serves the same purpose(es). Just sits in my drawer laser beam sharp.

Delica

If you have large hands then the Endura which is only $3 more than the Delica.

There's a reason the Delica and Endura are the top sellers.

I've carried a Tenacious for about a year, edge chipped like crazy and the liner lock touched the opposite liner within a year, vertical play...
But hey, it's a budget knife.
No issues with my Delica (ZDP).
Go Delica ;)
