Spyderco Ti-Mil Military

I’ve had about 10 Millie’s. My most carried, and favorite. I’d strike for the M4 version while it’s still available. Or wait for a CTS-204p to show up. Bad to the bone.

Good looking knife. I like the fluted handles.
4" blade is good.

Yeah sure, so long as you're getting one like in the pic (showing the recent CQI changes) and not one that's new old stock/NOS.

Are the Ti ones a lot heavier? I have a CTS-204P and it is a heck of a knife. I would still like to get a M4 one to go with it.

About 2 oz. heavier.
  • Plain Jane 4.2 oz.
  • Ti/CF 4.8 oz.
  • Fluted Ti 5.8 oz.
  • Plain Ti 5.9 oz.
I went with the plain Jane because I like G10 and it's such a light knife for its size; I wanted the Millie's unique combination of strength and strikingly light weight. Folks who own the heavier ones -- which still aren't that heavy for their size! -- seem to be very happy with them.

For me the Mili shine the brightest in its lightweight-pocket-sword G10 iteration, not that I'd throw a Ti one away. I love my CTS204P model now that it learned how to sit in my pocket the way I prefer (thanks to a little CRK help):

I would take g10 any day of the week for the reasons stated - the Millie’s strength is its size and strength and capabilities in such a light weight package. You start adding weight and to me there are a ton of 4 inch Ti knives that compete with it.

I am waiting eagerly for a red m390 version. Please.

Should I buy this? I currently have a G-10 Grip, but I guess I could always sell it. Pretty sure my CPM-20CV steel is better than S30V, but for my purpose idk if that even matters. This would be for EDC.
Yes you should but I found it cheaper at bladeHQ assuming it's the same? The one on kc shows the cqi version the one on bladeHQ shows non cqi but dunno if it's cqi or not as it's not mentioned. Does cqi make much difference on this model?

I have the one from knifeworks that I like better goes on sale periodically though.

I like the ti/cf frame lock better than my all cf liner lock military in 52100. Just feels better in every way in the hand, action, weight, grip, etc. It feels like a very premium knife. The liner locks are great but to me I like the frame locks just a bit better.
Not everyone is of the same opinion as mine tho https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/hey-sal-when-knifeworks-ti-carbon-fiber-s90v-military.1465986/

Its' a really nice knife.

It's really big and noticeable.

Its' a gentelman's folder on steroids.

I have quite a few versions of the Military and it is probably my favorite knife.

The TI version is nice but also heavier. I prefer the fluted Ti version. I like the g10 versions even better.

It is a bit bigger than your grip so make sure you want to carry a large folder.

The Fluted Ti is stunning. Such a beautiful knife.

I'm hoping Spyderco reveals a new version of the (Fluted) Ti Military with a different milled pattern on the Ti.

They discontinued the fluted TI Native and now have a fluted CF Native. I am hoping they do they same and come out with a fluted CF Military.

It's a very nice, but very big knife, quite slim (maybe too much to my tastes). Quite dressed up, but tipped down only so... it stays in its box.
Pondering about selling it for years, but I really like the fit and finish, and it's insanely smooth to open. Yet I don't fidget with it at all.
For size comparison with a Grip, Lg Seb 25 and Super Roadhouse. Yessir it's huge!

OP - I bought one from kc just a few days ago (yes - it has the recent CQI).Stunning knife! I am thinking about buying another before it is all gone.

I also have the kw exclusive cts 204p with green handle, s90v with ti/cf scales; plain ti millie, and plain jane dlc/digicam. All five millies are great, cannot be wrong with any. Ti Millie is a bit heavy but feels solid. cts 204p is a great steel. s90v ti/cf is just too beautiful. The DLC/digcam I got for $120 lnib just could not pass the price.:p

Just buy the Fluted Titanium Military while you still can.

The regular G-10 model is actually better in the hand for extended usage, but I do not regret having gotten the Fluted Titanium model for a good price while available.

Buy it, you know you want to (search your feelings; you know this to be true ;)).

For me, the lighter weight cts 204p millie , now on sale at knifeworks, is the best one I ve got (also have the s30v and the cruwear). I m not a big fan of metal handles on work knives. Too slippery when sweaty.
