I don't hear much talk on this version of the Military.

How are they comparied to the regular version with g10, and is it a good choice for my first Military?

It's a boat anchor compared to the CF versions, and heavy compared to the G-10 versions. It has the usual thermal conductivity issues of a metal handle knife. That said, I wouldn't trade mine for anything. I don't carry it, but I'm keeping it.

yab nailed it i think.

to make it more clear, most of the hardcore milie fans enjoy the lightweight of the milie, it's a pretty unique mix of blade length, slicing capability and lightweight. once you go full TI it stops being so unique and gets quite a lot of concurence for me. even the TI/G10 variation loses a lot of the milie apeal to me. this is just my modest opinion of course.

my first millie is on its way and it's a ti. clearly, i pulled the trigger on something i'm not so familiar with but a middle-aged man with limited interests can excuse himself for that.

I love mine, but I dont mind a heavy knife. I actually dont find it heavy, its slimness makes you forget its in your pocket. Of coarse if you compare it to the g10 or CF millie its heavy but If you have never tried any other millie I dont think you will find it heavy as long as you take the size of the knife into consideration.

PS: Its in my pocket right now.

Thanks for the replies.

The answers are sort of what i expected them to be. After seeing that it weighs in a 5.8 ounces I was suprised. Thats the same weight as the ZT560, and that blade is MUCH thicker than the military's.

It looks like i'll be buying myself a sprint cts xhp brown.

I had one some years back, but the weight is something I just couldn't get used to when compared to the standard G10 model so I traded it off. The Ti Military is an excellent knife but, for my preference, I'd go with a G10 or CF handled version....simply because of the lighter weight, that is where the Millie really shines.
