Manix 2 has rivit construction, I believe this is the first Spyderco I've owned that hasn't been hair shaving sharp. Boker and Cat have 440C blades, both are nicely built, Taiwan sourced. Manix 2 is a Golden, Colorado knife, it is a great looking knife.

I think that Manix 2 is pretty cool looking but the S2 is a little funky. The Spyderco knives I owned that were riveted were all very solid, I saw it's bugging some people in the Spydie sub-forum but I don't think it's an issue at all.

Dat Preon 2. Recently found my long lost one. However, back on topic. How do you like the S2's blade shape and ergonomics?

The S2 is very secure in my hand. Grippy G10 scales, almost identical in size to the BM 710. Even the handle shape is similar to my 710, although more angular. The main distinguishing feature of the Boker is the big slab of 440C blade. So far it has proven to be a good slicer, and with the weight forward I think it will make a useful mini chopper, if needed. For $50 I am very happy with this stout, well made knife.

Added: deployment is very fast using the flipper and a little wrist flick. The momentum of the big blade snaps into a solid lockup.
