Spyderco Triangle fine rods not straight

Has anyone ever encountered a Sharpmaker fine stone not perfectly flat?

Is it normal?
A fluke coverd under warranty?

It's a new triangle fine stone.

Strange.. I've only ever encountered poker straight rods.

sure your counter is even and level?

almost looks like years of use and wear like my old time stones. being new though seems off to me. would think warranty would apply.

I have seen the grey ones wear down but Never the white ones.

Definitely not normal. I'm sure they'll exchange that without question.

Yeah. I've had two sets. Dead flat. I wouldn't use that .

I had a gray/brown rod that had a slight "S" curve in it that I finally retired after 20 years.I didn't notice any problems using it but replaced do to wear. You should send it in to see what they will do for you.

My first set of fine rods had issues and they replaced them no problem

Common knowledge that some of them end up warped, which counts as a defect.
