A Spyderco Endura spyderedge was shown on Court TV as a murder weapon. I think it was Forensic Files or something like that. Why do we see such a high ratio of Spyderco knives to any other on tv or movies?

Because they are good, reliable and not that expensive. In a movie, when you want someone to look like a knife pro, putting a Spydie in his hand is enough :D

Great! Now we have hollywood and the tv networks convincing the sheeple that anyone who pulls out a Cricket SS to open a letter is a homicaidal maniac about to go on a mass killing rampage!

IMHO it is two-fold:

First, the Spyderco Round Hole and serrations are easily recognizable and unique in appearance. I think those unfamiliar with serrations find them aggressive-looking. That's why the non-knife prop person prefers them for setting up "viscerally reactive Hollywood type" scenes.

Secondly, all of you Knife Knuts and Forumites are graduate-level knife educated. You understand knives and can spot and identify a particular brand (our round hole) instantly. I think we knife people are sensitized when spotting knives on the tube or film. A good thing eh?
