Just ordered a spydie UK penknife from the Uk, and I cannot wait til it gets here to the states. Looks to be my idea of a perfect knife. The best blade steel, the handle of G10, which I love, and a wire pocket clip that is supposed to be like a bronzish color, and rides low in the pocket. Anyone else have one of these puppies?

As it isnt a lock-knife (which UK Police class as a "fixed-blade"!?) & is only a short blade, its designed to be "carry-legal" in the UK, hence the name UKPK, or thats what a member of BritishBlades, another forum in Britain thought, until he was arrested!!!!
Ridiculous!
I tell you, guys, fight tooth n nail to keep your right to "bear arms & carry knives/tools etc!

Like all Spyderco Collector Club members, I have one. I believe it is Spyderco's second slip joint. It is the only slipjoint I have ever seen with an S30V blade and G-10 handle. Excellent knife. I think they would sell just fine right here in the U.S. since the Pride was an effective seller and not nearly as good as this knife.

I agree. They are superb. I need a lock though. I have my occasional klutz episodes.

The APK is coming next year. I am waiting on pins and needles.:grumpy:

I recieved a design team model in a trade.

It is the finest knife I have.

The handle, & blade material, blade design & grind are great, amazing ergo's on the handle, & love the way the knife disapears when clipped to a pocket.

The wire clip does not scream "knife" & it's color is so low key, it seems to just blend into the background.

If they make a US version of the penknife, I would think a lockback with zdp-189 blade would be perfect, as long as they keep the handle shape the same.

If they wanted to dress it up, I would recomend a nickle silver bolster, added to a polished micarta handle - they would not show every little blemish the way polished carbon-fiber does.

The silver & black handle would really look great with either a brushed silver or a brushed diamond DLC finish would keep it looking great dispite daily use.

I like it not having a lock, makes it easier to close with when the job is done. I have never had any knife close on me in use.

I'm not sure I understand all the hype about s30v though

You know he wasn't arrested for that don't you?

OK, how does one become a member of the Spyderco Collectors Club?? I have looked on the Spyderco site, and can not find out how.
