I don't really care, but I've been noticing that the screws that hold the pocket clip on my para are really worn down. 60% of the black paint on them has been scratched off. They came like this...I've been really impressed with how the pocket clip itself wears...those things usually scratch up so easily. So is this part of the design or did they reuse scratched up screws? Again, doesn't bother me, just thought it was weird.

Whatever the clips are coated with is like tank armor. The screws on my Military are now a uniform bronze-ish color. It doesn't look bad, at this point - they look like shiny new copper screws. The clip is still jet black, showing almost zero wear. It could be that the screws on your were at the bottom of whatever parts bin they came from, and got jostled around a bit. I've found that Spyderco screws lose their black coating pretty quick anyway, so look at it like this - people actually pay to have their stuff weathered, worn in and generally battered (stonewashed jeans, anyone?) and your knife came that way absolutely free!

Could be, could be....they actually don't look bad at all, just thought it was strange. I am pretty impressed with the pocket clip paint's longevity...my other knives don't last very long, in this area...
