What a cool idea to have a sharp, pointy, utilitarian knife with an attached blade guard.

It is a sturdy blade perfect for camping, picnics or kitchen use. Fits the hand very well. The cover pivots out and fully and securely covers the blade.

The blade cover is an integral part of the knife and in theory you can open and close the cover with one hand. I could not operate it one handed, but I have a deficiency in only using the left hand.
There are wings on both sides of the cover for ambi use. Wing is at my thumb in the pic.

I hope that some other users are able to relate the ease or difficulty in operating the cover one handed :)

Thanks for the review and pics Tom!

I had no problem swinging the guard off of the blade and into the handle with one hand. I did have trouble rotating the guard out of the handle because the little "wings" on the guard don't stick out enough for my thumb to get a hold of them.

Hey Guys..

Interesting little knife...

how is the guard held in place in side the handle ??

Does it stay in there well,,or could it pop out by itself??

Is there a lock on the guard in the closed or "Safe" position ??

Great looking blade..

Eric....

Hi Eric, I believe it's friction fit both ways.
The guard is not popping out of the handle as I and frank had to put pressure on the "wings" to release it from the handle.
The guard is released from the blade by simple single finger pressure.
I believe that is why there's warnings to not carry this in pocket as the guard can be dusted off the blade.
That said, it held fine while rattling around a pack for several days :)
