Hey guys.

I've fallen in love with this knife recently, and want to pull the trigger on it soon.

My ONLY decision is whether to get the Dual Action version or the manual. Since the DA is TWICE the price, it's kind of a big decision!

I was wondering if those of you that either own, or have tried, both versions of this, which one did you go with and why???

Thanks again!

I have the regular version and had the opportunity to buy the auto converted one recently. First off, this knife is high quality and looks fantastic. The fit and finish is better than half the customs I own. That being said, I passed on the auto version due to the high price. Yeah, it's cool and pretty rare, but I am more than satisfied with my manual version. It's so smooth, that deploying it manually is part of the fun! Hope that helps some. Either way, I think you will be happy with the knife.

I have the manual version and it's very well made. Although nice, I don't think I'd opt for the auto even if price wasn't a factor.

Cost: This is a factor, but not a big one as I've sold off a few knives so this is paid for even if it is the Auto version.

Another thing is that I'm still fairly new to knives, and have wanted to check out some of the Autos out there. I love the look of the Vallotton, so I thought this would be a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks for the input guys.

I just pulled the trigger on the Manual version.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided the DA version did seem gimmicky, and at TWICE the price, I just could not justify that!!!

I own the auto. It's the only auto I carry since I live in CA.
