Hello everyone, that is my first time posting here but here goes:
Awhile back my dad found, yes found, this beat up spyderco wegner ad gave it to me(which now that i come to think of it was around the time I was looking for an ocelot, funny). Either way, I lost it, but just recently I found it around the house, sharpened it up and it has become my new EDC, it's absolutely perfect rock solid lockup and everything. the ONLY this that I dislike about the knife is the fact that it has serrations, dull serrations that I cannot sharpen and would rather do without. My question to you: even though this is a discontinued and somewhat sought after knife would it be entirely unconscionable to remove the serrations and instead recurve the knife? Also would the blade itself handle the recurve or is it just too much material to take off?
Also: since it is a liner lock I've noticed that the liner goes all the way across the blade when it locks up. Is this bad? should I try and have it fixed? Can it be fixed?
