While perusing my knife drawers this morning, I found a Spyderco/Wenger liner lock that I don't remember buying. Not unusual as on those multi knife purchase days I usually have one favorite and the others get put away. It's a nice G10 handled knife a little bit bigger than a Delica. I wondered if anyon could put a name to it. It has a liner on only on side of blade and the blade is ATS-24. Also has a chrome pocket clip. Any info wuld be appreciated.

It's just called a Spyderco Wegner. It's been long discontinued. I have two and love them - great knife.

BTW - it should be ATS-34, not 24.

My first one is also numbered "562."

You made a great find, I have the Spyderco/Wegner Jr. and it's been one of my favorite knives for several years - I wish I had bought a couple more of them when they were in production. (sounds like you have the smaller version, as well)

The Wegner was made in two sizes. The C49 (Wegner Junior) has a 2 7/8" blade and an OAL of 6 3/4". The C48 is the larger model and has a 3 5/8" blade and an OAL length of 8 3/8".

Here's a link to a list of every Spyderco made.

'Wegner' is Tim Wegner, the guy behind Blade-tech . They make folders and also an extensive line of sheaths, holsters, etc. Great guy & great company.

I have the Spyderco Wenger C48 that says ATS-34 with Japan underneath it, has 50/50 serration - straight edge, drop point blade. An excellent folder that I carry hunting all the time.

I have the Junior, as well. Wish I could have found one with the non-serrated blade. Superb knife for just about anything, and smooth as silk.

i have a large one and a small one how much are they going for nib?

I don't know, but they have a Blade-tech model that looks the same except has an egg shaped hole.

No other info comes up on it though.

Thanks for the feedback. As I look at my post the typos scream out to me. Yes it's ATS 34 and Japan underneath. The constuction and blade shape remind me of my Ocelot bought around the same time I think. I've been carrying it for a couple of days. Now I'll probably have to take it out of rotation because it's discontinued. Mr. WEGNER, please forgive my ignorance.
