Another weekend flea market find. I have no interest in, or knowledge of this type of knife, but it seemed to be well made, it was cheap, and it's made out of my favorite steel, so I bought it. It measures 4 3/4" closed with steel bolsters and liners. Handles appear to be Micarta. False edge is unsharpened.

Can you tell me the model name of this knife and approximate date of manufacture? Is there any collector interest in this model?

Thanks for your help.

Nice knife, may as well ask in the Spyderco forum, so i moved it here.

It's a Spyderco Kris, a design from southeast Asia, by Ed Schempp, one of Spyderco's ethnic series. Since it's discontinued, its collector value is probably up a bit, but not enough to sell it and buy a car with the proceeds. :D

How much did you get it for? I probably don't want to know...why do people who have little interest always make the great finds :D

That is a Spyderco-Schempp collaboration and yes it is a C104 Kris. It is also a discontinued model. Great find!

Thank you for the identification. While it's not exactly my cup of tea, I can appreciate good fit and finish when I see it. Cost was about one McDonald's happy meal. I've had my share of wins and losses. ;)

That's a great find! That would be a VERY happy meal. I am slightly envious...who am I kidding, I'm plain old jealous.
Great knife

Hell, if you ever want to part with it, I'll give you more than TWO Happy Meal's worth!:)
