Spyderco with FFG H1?

It's still illogical. H1 is very hard to grind due to the nature of the steel. The work hardening steel is tougher to grind the more you grind.

It would take too much time and money to replace the grinding machine's belts and what not. The H1 will remain Saber Grind for the time being.

You can always send a Saber Grind H1 knife to a knife maker to have it Grinded flat. ;)

I see, maybe they can do a sprint run of H1 ffg. Just a thought ;)

Doubt it for a sprint. The have to re-work all their machines and wouldn't be cost efficient for just a sprint. Maybe down the road there will be a full production model(s), but a sprint doesn't seem likely.

Highly illogical.

Roger that, saber ground H1 blades are great. Are there any new salt models coming out soon? I'm thinking of buying one.

When there were requests for an H-1 Mule, Sal noted that the only way that would happen would be to have Tom Krein grind them. Imagine the same would hold for a Sprint of any folder. Finding 1200 people willing to pay at least $35 more than the price of a normal one might prove difficult. On the other hand, Sending yours to Tom Krein would be pretty simple, assuming you seriously want one.

The saber grind will do for now. I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending the knife to be reground. Maybe I'll change my mind in the future. Thanks guys

OP, take a good long look at the tang stamp on the FFG Rock Salt :D That's the man to look for.

Yep, but OP has already expressed a reluctance to pay the "my way" tax. ;) :D
