Spyderco Worker Sprint

I tried doing a search, and couldn't come up with much. I have a possible option to pick one up, and I am wondering what the concensus is regarding the Worker Sprint in G10. I like the thicker spine compared to my Delica, but am looking for some opinions. I'm a lefty, and a Sebenza of some sort resides in my left pocket, and currently have a Delica with a combo edge in my right. Any help/opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

The handle feels a little more cramped than the Delica. If that doesn't bother you at all, it's quite similar (If you have any G10 knives you'll be able to relate to the texture). I think the Delica is a better slicer (The only one I own is a Ti-Damascus version but I've used both the SB and ZDP D4's that I gifted my father), but the Worker has a MUCH pointier tip obviously, so depending on the proposed uses of said knife, the Worker could be more useful.

Its smaller in hand than the delica but it feels more solid since it's doesn't have FRN handles. Very nice skeletonized liners and a very capable blade design. Also, one of the sharpest/pointy tips I've ever seen. I know I'm in the minority, but the delica isn't one of my favorite knives. The Worker isn't a bad choice for a small EDC.

I like the Worker.
For me it is a great supplemental carry to compliment a larger blade.
It is a bit smaller than the Delica, but if you go into the purchase knowing this, it shouldn't surprise you.
The G10 slab construction is very stout.

My biggest gripe with it is how small the diameter of the Spyderhole is. It is a bit small... does not hamper thumb pad opening, but hard to fit a finger in there. I'd like to open mine up just a millimeter or two, then I might enjoy the knife a bit more.
I also wish it had some light thumb ramp jimping, too, but not a big deal.

The tip is very very thin, at least that was my impression when I had it. A little too small for my hands. As the other posters mentioned, the hole is a little small too...

I really like the G10 Worker and I'm not a big fan of small knives.

The G10 gives the worker the good grip that the original Worker was lacking with it's stainless handle.

I didn't care for the stainless grip and put my old Worker in my truck's tool box. Whenever I did use it, it lived up to it's name. The blade shape is very good for a work knife.

I don't care for small knives usually, but the Worker has great ergonomics in hand. Can't complain when the knife fits your hand so well.

I suggest you give it a try. They're going away so you'll be able to sell it easily if you don't like it.

While not specifically why the OP wants a Worker, this might affect his decision. A guy I used to know got into an altercation in a bar with a military member, and he tried to leave the area. The attacker followed him out to the car to continue his attack, at one point pinning him against the side of his car by the throat. The defender drew his Worker and inserted only the tip into the arm grabbing him, just above the elbow. He slit the attacker's arm all the way to the armpit and terminated the encounter.

Just sayin'.

Great little knife in my opinion, feels sturdy in your hand, and I have found the blade shape to be quite functional. I also really like the colour of the G10 they used for the scales.

I really wanted to love this knife - the shape of the blade, the overall size, the look of the knife and handle material were real winners for me but in hand I had to give up. The Delica is sooooo much more comfortable to handle and most importantly, to deploy the blade. I sent my Worker back.
