Hi all,

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on this knife for some time, and i wondered if anybody could give me some information as regards the pivot set up, as i don't seem to be able to find the details or pics anywhere after much searching, is it EXACTLY the same as on the Paramilitary 2 ie. with both the actual bushing, AND phosphour bronze washers, or just the washers as on my Para 1, the reason i am asking this is because i have had ongoing problems with blade play, both horizontal and verictical on my Para 1, and the upgraded pivot bushing system on the Para 2 seems to have solved this problem.

Thank you in anticipation

Yes, it is exactly as it is found on the Para2. I've not experience what others have reported as vertical blade play, some very minor side to side and I mean minor on one of about 24ish I own (para2).

Thanks for the info RD :)

I love my Para 1, the blade play after much use, is miniscule, and i am being very picky, i just don't seem to be able to get the balance spot on re blade play, and ease of opening and closing.

I love the Para as well. I'm glad i had the foresight to buy multiples before they were discontinued. My advice for fixing this issue is to try and rotate the stop pin. You don't need to remove or disassemble anything. Loosen up the screws and rotate that barrel about 45 degrees or so in either direction and retighten. That may take care of it.

Many thanks again, in hindsight, i have indeed noticed a small burr/wear on both the stop pin and main pivot pin, will have another dabble, best regards.

Anyone care to tell me where I can actually find a yojimbo2. I have been looking for a while now and coming up empty

Just picked up a LNIB one for under $100 on Ebay today :)
Been wanting one for a while, too.

After another fiddling about session with my much used and cherished Para 1, i am pleased to report she is now functioning as new, with zero blade play in any direction, and butter smooth opening/closing.
As advised by RD, moving the stop pin 1/4 of a turn completely eradicated the up and down blade play, and with careful tinkering of the main pivot screw, and some blue Loctite, there is no play from side to side, thanks guys.
