hello fellow members;

i'm looking at these two as potential additions to my collection; any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I'm assuming you mean the Yojimbo 2.
It's a really great knife and at a great price.
The ergos are awesome just as most Spydercos.
I love the blade shape, just something about the super thick spine and the extremely thin edge is awesome and the hollow grind is excellent for piercing and slicing.
If you're on the fence about the Yojimbo 2 I'd say just get it and you'll more than likely love it.

Isn't there a big price difference there? I thought the Tuff cost significantly more.

Anyway they don't seem like very comparable knives to me. In any case I don't have to handle a Yo2 to know that I would buy the Tuff. The Yojimbo is probably a great knife. Seems popular, but I've held a Tuff and it's stellar. The only "huh?" I have about the knife is the choil. Unlike on other Spydercos I've handled I can't see much use here. It just doesn't feel all that ergonomic, but that's okay as it puts the weight and length of the blade further out front where it should be. If you can't tell I want one. Badly.

I can't say much about the Tuff because I only handled one for a bit at a store, and realized it wasn't my cup of tea.

The Yojimbo 2, on the other hand, is one of my favourite medium sized EDC knives, quite an improvement on the original one (which I love as well). Great steel, great lock, excellent ergonomics and a decent price. The blade/handle ratio is much better than on the Yojimbo 1. I wish it were flat ground, though.

I prefer the Yojimbo for EDC over the Tuff due to size and ergos. Also I prefer the wharncliffe blades. However the Tuff looks overbuilt and very tough but just not my taste.

Get the Yoh. Also perfect for a wave mod.

thank you all for your input; its always good to get expert opinions; i may just get both !!!
