I have been wanting to try the zip tie mod (ghetto wave) on a Spyderco knife. What size zip tie should I use to do this? Also I will probably be using 2 zip ties to prevent slipping.

You'll want to use the smallest zip ties you can find. Bigger ones don't work as well.

Yup. That's the size of the ones I had; I used blue ones to match my Endura's blue handles. Make sure the lock of the zip tie is faccing in towards your pocket so it catches easily.

Thanks. Should I leave a little of the tie sticking through or cut it flush with the "head"?

I cut mine flush and sanded it down some. you want it smooth as possible or it'll really shred your pockets.

No idea. It literally only took two minutes with the file on my Leatherman.

Use a pair of nail clippers to trim the end of the zip tie. The curved blade of the nail clippers work really well to eliminate the sharp edge.

It worked great for me. Using the hole was even easier with the zip tie in. I had it on a Manix 2, which I've since traded away. Thinking about it now, Im gonna go put one on my Delica.

I just tried out this mod on my Byrd Cara Cara 2.
It really does work pretty well, I had my doubts.

Also it is nice because one snip and we are back to original, can't say that with most mods.

I use one on my cara cara 2 and it works almost as well as my waved matriarch 2.

I used a medium size zip tie. too small and it will not work.
