Hello everyone!

I am strangely drawn to this Zulu. Its pretty much unlike any knife I have owned and I have some concerns are blade shape. Its unique and beautiful knife but has someone carried it? How does it fare as edc knife? I favor the tradidtional leaf shaped designs and avoid recurves but... I guess there's exception for anything.

Some people may see it aggressive but I find it very beautiful knife. I have Bob Lum Glass fibre in order but still nothing. I am just wondering should I change order into Zulu instead? I might get both though but I've been eyeing out Chapparal and Superleaf and I cannot buy but two more expensive spydies this year.

I love the design of the zulu and I love recurves. Fifty percent of my knives work is 2ply twine cutting and recurves fell like they're made for this. The only thing that kept me from buying one is my hatred of s30.I really wish they did this knife in cpm154 as mr anso uses the euro equivalant of this steel ,I believe rwl 34.Not to mention it would be spydies first knife in this steel and would have sold out. I would own one as I type if they did. One last icing on the cake would have to be if they made it have the nested ti lock like the ppt ,as mr anso does on some of his customs. Or just a ti side with r I l. Like I said though the deal breaker for me was s30 not the lock

i have been eyeing it too, i would love to see if anyone on here has used it and likes it. because i find it a beautiful non threatening knife and would love to have it and add it to my EDCs

You might want to try and handle a Zulu before you pull the trigger on one. It's thicker, chunkier, and a little heavier than I expected it to be.

Even though the Zulu hasn't really turned out to be my cup of tea, it is a very nice knife with a cool, unusual look, and a very good fit and finish.

Just to clear things up: the PPT has a solid steel frame lock, no titanium at all. Which means less lock wear and stronger. I don't cut twine all day, but Spyderco's S30V has held up great cleaning fish and deer. Sorry to hear it doesn't work for you, but I guess that's why they make different flavors.

Ok, my knife dealer made something I never expected. When I asked him how Zulu feels, he said its hard to describe but he can send the knife for me to test it and return if I don't like it or pay it if I like it. It makes little sense to travel accorss country for that but this is something new for me. Well, I am one of their best customer's and money I've poured ot them past 2 years Spydies alone is quite substansial (+ GEC's and few Benchies).

so I can feel it before deciding wether I shall buy it or not. I wish it would have been made VG-10 though... but Spyderco does their heat treatment well, wether steel is vg-10, s30v, 154cm or something else.

I'll give you guys initial impressions soon. How a traditional and slipjoint lover like me feels about Zulu.

That's ok, I just found out the ppt s lock isn't Ti. I read R.I.L. and I looked at the color. Wich to me seems more similar to the color of Ti and not ss . So I assumed it was Ti ......hunh knives you learn something new everday. Man with a ss lock that big that suckers got to be heavy

number 1. you are very lucky and must have an awesome dealer.
number 2. please get back to us with your thoughts and feelings as soon as you can!

I just picked up a Zulu today since my local dealer has them on closeout. A longer handle would fit my hand better, but it is certainly a well made knife.
