You need to mail it to them. They need to evaluate it. They need to determine whether the damage was their fault. If they determine it wasn't, they need to contact you about payment and authorization for the repair. They need to actually fix the knife. They need to send it back to you.

Spyderco's a small company with a small Warranty and Repair department. They may not be able to get to your knife the instant you send it.

Four to six weeks is an honest assessment of how long it may take to give you the service you're asking for.

Chill out. You're being told that something may take a few weeks to do, and you're acting like they sent a representative over to kick your dog.

Edited to add: According to this post, you had the knife for two and a half weeks before you decided to ask for help with the problem on BF, then waitedthree more weeks just to call Spyderco. And you get impatient when they tell you the _work_ may take a few weeks? :D

Also...you did not buy it from them. You bought it from ebay, which makes you not the original owner. If I were you I would be happy that they are even considering looking at it. Most warranties protect the original owner. Unless the person you bought it off ebay was a dealer then maybe you should have taken this up with the seller that sold you a defective Military, not bad mouth Spyderco. Next time maybe buy from a reputable dealer and not ebay ;)

If you're concerned about the quality of whatever it is you're buying, Ebay is not the best place to buy it.

Certainly, you can find good deals there, but you have to be prepared for some misrepresentation - and never forget, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Good luck with your Millie, the 3 I've purchased from dealers have been flawless.

i bought it from ebay but it was a knife shop dealer that has the right to sell their product, but o well i'll wait

If it was bought from a dealer, he should have inspected it before shipping it. Contact the dealer and ask for an exchange. Also it may not take 4-6 weeks. Buck says the same thing, but it is usually a lot less.

Don't "o well, I'll wait" contact the dealer and make him exchange it for a good one. I don't think this is a Spyderco problem, and even if you choose to go that route then 4-6 weeks for something you should have corrected a month or so ago is not thier fault. I hope this works out for you.
