I have had zero problems on my Spydercos with adjustable-looking pivot screws (Military's torx, Wegner's allen(?)). But if it does someday become necessary to tighten or adjust the pivot screw, is it recommended to add a bit of Loc-Tite? I have on my Benchmade and Emerson folders with no problems, but I know some folders differ in this...for example, I have heard that it's not recommended on Chris Reeve's folders. BTW, I only use the blue Loc-Tite.
I've also found that Loc-Tite isn't always desirable. On one of my '98 Delicas I used some on the clip screw and when I needed to take off the screw it took about 30 minutes, some hot water, and later I had to use the awl on my SAK to chip out the Loc-Tite from the screw threads. Now, though it still works, that clip screw is a mess and would have been better off without the Loc-Tite. (though I had complete success with it on the little clip screws on my Endura II when I changed the clip position).
