Today I drew the line, a little while ago the heads of body screws stripped from simple removal and putting them back in for locktiting using proper sized Torx and quality Torx without over tightening. The reason I am irritated because now the tops of the screws have burrs which make grip unpleasant and irritating at times. This frustrates me as 20 dollar knives I've had never had that problem, I don't want to send it in for inspection and repairs and get charged either. What should I do?

what model? I've only found this to be the case with Militaries, having the smaller torx screws. I upgraded them to T8's and no problems since.

Manix 2 XL, so t8-9 size. Note it only happened to the body screws. This is the only Spyderco I've had any issues with, I've never had problems with the Japanese or Chinese ones that I've used. It's driving me insane.

You can try searching on the bay for replacement screws. Or an online usa knifemaker store? I've striped Military screws and ended up having to replace them.

Hey Gooey, I like that T8 idea. I think I'll give it a try.

How the heck do I remove the 2 screwed screws (No pun intended). I can't cut a slit in them, the handle will get ruined, the drill removal will possibly drill the scales as well.

Please don't be offended, but I suggest that you sell this knife that you've buggered up and replace it with a new one that you will be more gentle with.
As long as you disclose the damage you aren't hurting the buyer. It is kind of like selling the car that you crashed and buying a replacement.
People are grateful for a functional car with cosmetic damage when they can't afford a better one. The same goes with knives.

Wanimator I have OCD when it comes to burred/stripped screws too. Had emailed Spyderco about getting replacement screws for my Military Ti too that I got used that had some raped handle screws. Actually emailed them to see if I could buy the screws. Spyderco emailed me saying that they dont sell screws and didn't recommed disassembly of the knife. They told me they were going to send me some screws which I never received. Think I'll go with the larger torx size mentioned.
