Does anyone know of a good shop to purchase Spyderco's in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? Bass Pro in Grapevine has a few in stock, but overall the selection is really lacking.

Does anyone know of anywhere else? Thanks!

Which one are you looking for? Are you in the mid cities? House of blades has a ton of knives, Cabela's and Academy do have spydercos. The shops at Willowbend in west Plano have a nice little shop. There are more places but DFW is so huge that it might be better if you look online.

I have checked Bass Pro, Cabelas, and a few Academy's. I didn't find any at Cabelas or any Academy's around Lewisville. I had no idea Academy carried Spyderco's. I'm looking for the Ambitious. I'm in Lewisville. What would you say the top 3 best shops are in the area that carry Spyderco's?

Ahh if only Sportsman's Warehouse was still in Lewisville. Spyderco heaven in this area. Bass pro, Academy, and Cabelas are pretty much no spidey zones. That House of Blades place in Ft. Worth might have some but they will be way too expensive. There was a little knife shop in Willow Bend Mall in Plano and they had some spideys, but they were also way expensive.

I was in FW back in February and the House of Blades wasn't over-priced on some items. I got to handle a lot of knives I was curious about. IIRC there was a decent of Spydies.

House of blades is a fun shop to look around in, I would go check it out for sure. They are also nice people, and worth supporting!

If you call MSRP prices not over priced, then you'd be right.

There's really not anywhere local to buy any higher end knives at good (internet) prices. There's a knife shop in the Parks Mall in Arlington that carries quite a bit of Spyderco and Benchmade knives for decent prices, but nobody is going to be able to touch what you find them for online.

House of Blades is great! They do charge MSRP (witch is a lot higher than street price sometimes) buut keep in mind that they are a brick and mortar store.. they aren't some warehouse that only has a webpage. If they have it in stock at HoB I usually support them because its a nice place and you can handle the knives before you buy them and there is a ton of eye candy :)

EDIT: Oh and they have a nice spydie selection
