Looks nice, but the bigger the handle, the easier it is to over torque small screws and strip threads or pop heads.I like the Husky tool the best.
I have the Husky, Kobalt, and Benchmade blue box set. I plan on getting the Kershaw tool and maybe some bits.
I just found this and it looks interesting http://www.tecratools.com/product1026.html.
Probably not just yours. Might depend on how old the knife is. Torx head screws are a relatively new thing for Spyderco and I'm not sure exactly when the Military switched to them. However, even my 2000 Spyderco Forum Military has a T-15 pivot and T-6 backspacer screws. It does differ from the new ones, in that its clip screws are phillips head instead of T-6 Torx like my new lefty one. There are also some sizes of Torx fasteners which are close enough to either a metric or SAE allen head that, as long as the fastener is not overly tight, you can turn them with that wrench, just like you can sometimes turn a phillips screw with a slot head driver, so that's another possible reason you think it's hex.Isn't the Military a hex pivot screw? Or is it just mine?
That's odd, since it's a recent knife. It's an orange Millie, and it's definitely hex. The hex bot fits and the Torx doesn't.
Thanks Deacon!
