I've carried a Spyderco for over 10 years and love 'em, but now I am becoming interested in starting to collect them. Probably not as lucrative as collecting rare antiques, but I am facinated with the Spyderco knives and the various designs. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Knifeslinger (aka Bobby Branton, sorry if I didn't spell your name right Bobby) is a knifemaker and Spyderco collector. He is also one heck of a knife thrower, but that's another post. I think Nakano 2 thought Knifeslinger could just help you get started. There is also a Spyderco Collectors Club. You might try doing some searches in this forum for more info. It requires a pretty serious investment in that you have to buy at least one of every model Spyderco comes out with.

Them:"What's that clipped to your pocket, a beeper?"
Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."

Yes Bobby Branton does indeed have an extensive collection of Spydercos. Especially for the rare and discontinued models as well as reworked models such as the Yellowhorse limited ones. Take a peek at one of his recent posts in the 4 sale section! Personell at Spyderco can supply you with all the necessary info for their collectors club.
