Any thoughts on whether or not the spyderench should come with a carrying case? I think that it should...I'd hate to bump up against something with only the pocket clip and maybe lose the screw driver that really holds the tool together. What do you think?

I think the lack of response is due to the "renchs" scaricity.

Actually, we have Tim working on a kydex sheath for the SpydeRench, using the same belt clip as the Moran.

BTW, There is no screw holding the Rench together. The one pivot that everything rotates around is a machined part of the casting.

Actually, Sal, I think the original poster was referring to the screwdriver bit that keeps the tool latched closed.

Definitely put me down for a belt case as described. Sounds cool!

hey sal,
i thought a case should be becoming to the spyderrench since several people asked me if it does come in a case..
so i took the liberty to make a prototype case in leather for you to see at the shot show,i hope you'll like it.

I like the idea of a kydex sheath form fitted to the Spyderench. Very good idea. I was having a problem with the rench not staying locked closed until my friend (who I gave one to as a Christmas present) pointed out that if you lift the long screwdriver up and let it snap back down...that it helps set the tip into the dedent. Works pretty good. I also like the diamond file...works real well as a nail file. Perhaps a thought for your "ladies tool/knife", Sal?
