Got my Spyderench!

In the "together" position, it's a right handed one-hander, probably best for large hands, since the blade hole moves in a wider arc than with most Spydercos.

Now, doesn't that look like some sort of primeval fish, about to chomp down on a Micra?

Apart, the knife is a left-handed one-hander.

Ingenious!

Thanks for the pics James, I really like the idea of it being able to come apart. I worry however about play developing in time. Is the blade possible to get plain? And the important question - do you have them in stock?

James,

How come you get ALL the COOL toys before WE do?! LOL .....

It's in the catalog in plain edge and, I believe, combination edge also. We dealers will get them for resale "with all deliberate speed." I'm not looking at the catalog at the moment, but MSRP is a bit over $100.

What keeps the locking bar spring from "sproinging" out when things are taken apart? Friction?

WOW!!!

This looks great. I can't wait to get the one I won in The Raffle Great Pictures James. What kind of scanner do you use. I've got two of them and neither will do this well.

James,

I forgot to ask to see your Spyderench at the Blade Show.

I guess I'll just have to buy one now.

Man, now there is another thing I have to get. Uh Oh! Looks like I caught the knife bug y'all warned me about.
"But honey, all the cool kids have them...."

WOW!!!
Just gotta have one. Where are they? You got any extras James? That tool looks so neat!
Is this like unrequited love or what?

first of all, thats a must haver.

but its not going to find its way into my everyday work carry.

although i use a knife and plier everyday, the gerber plier has been my tool of choice, the knives in the gerber suck, but i carry a seprate folder for the cutting. the screwdrivers are awkward, but the pliers are fast, strong and one handed. when i need to snap out pull grab twist etc.. no other tool so far has worked as well.

now as a tool to cary as a weekend, just in case tool (as opposed to for sure every day repeated use) the spyderco will be an excelant asset as it appears to have a great variety of useable tools, and a real knife.

things may change when i get one in my hands, i have a rigidly flexible opinion.

just a rant, its been a long day.

This thing hadn't even intersted me until seeing the scans (thanks James). Now I gotta get one.

Looks like the perfect companion to my Matriarch for daily use!!!
