I just picked up a SpydeRench today. Now that I have one, I can say that the design is really impressive. It is extremely compact and sturdy. The only problem I can see is that the two pieces will probably become wobbly over time. Secondly, I suspect that the pliers on this tool are not as strong as Leatherman style pliers. The wrench, however, is excellent. I know I will get alot of use out of it. The screwdriver bits and diamond file are well designed also. This is truly a practical tool. Finally, the blade is up to the usual Spyderco standards. Mine is serrated and about the same size as the blade on the Standard or Calypso jr. I really think Spyderco is to be commended for coming up with a different take on the multi-tool concept. This is a really versatile aid for any number of tasks and best of all it contains a one hand blade in a package that is undisputably utilitarian. Anybody who views the SpydeRench as a weapon must spread butter with an eraser!

I'm thinking that these may be the ultimate gift for the holidays! (Hon, can you see this?)
