Hi Guys,

What's the deal with the Spyderench? I've had a really hard time finding one. Are they still in production? Anyone know where to get one at a good price?

Thanks

I wouldn`t bother looking .They rattle badly in the woods, are dificult to assemble, amazed that spyderco could get it so wrong

They are a marvel of engineering and have a very "cool toy" factor (at least to me) but plnkr1234 is right it’s not the best multitool out there. I don’t really dislike it enough to sell you mine, but it has defaulted to a tool bag on a motorcycle. It’s just too big to carry in your pocket with the clip, the pliers are huge, the little friction lock that holds all the bits in will get loose if you used it daily (you need to have it in your hand to have me explain it more, or rather I need you to have it your hand) and I in fact keep it in a little bag because I don’t trust it to not drop some bits.

Get one if you want to keep it in your glove box of your car/truck/bike, but I wouldn’t recommend it for pocket carry.

As for where to get it, I would post on the Sypderco forum under the makers and manufactures and see if they are still being produced and who has good prices. You might get an answer from Sal himself.
